In the small, rural community of Pine Apple, Alabama, a dispute tragically escalated, claiming the life of 28-year-old Theodore Banks on February 27, 2014. Banks, a Black male, was at a friend's residence when a verbal argument turned into a physical altercation, resulting in his shooting death.
The violent incident shook the tight-knit town as law enforcement began their investigation. Authorities questioned several individuals who were present during the altercation, piecing together the events that led to the fatal encounter. While the exact nature of the dispute remained unclear in the initial stages of the investigation, a suspect was quickly identified and taken into custody.
In connection with the death of Theodore Banks, Carlos Heard was arrested and subsequently charged with murder.
