On May 12, 2024, at approximately 2:54 AM, 39-year-old Demetrus Porter was shot in the 500 block of East Patton Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama. Following the incident, he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on May 20, 2024. The Montgomery Police Department initiated a homicide investigation in response to his death.
