On the evening of July 16, 2024, 25-year-old African American male Lamarcus McCall was fatally shot in the Carriage Hills neighborhood of Montgomery, Alabama. At approximately 8:03 p.m., Montgomery police and fire medics responded to reports of a shooting in the 2500 block of Bridle Path Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered McCall with a fatal gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
