Jadairrus Grimes, a 19-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama, leaving a community to mourn his untimely death and a case that remains without a public resolution. On the morning of October 17, 2017, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Grimes was shot in the 600 block of Buckingham Drive. He was quickly transported to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment of what were described as life-threatening injuries.
