On October 17, 2017, 19-year-old JaDairrus Grimes was shot in the 600 block of Buckingham Drive in Montgomery, Alabama, around 10:30 a.m. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center South, where he succumbed to his injuries on October 19, 2017.
Following his death, the Montgomery Police Department initiated a homicide investigation. As of October 20, 2017, no arrests had been made, and authorities were seeking assistance from the public to solve the case.
