In the winter of 2021, a violent encounter in Montgomery, Alabama, led to the tragic death of 24-year-old Pervis Martin. On February 7th, an altercation erupted between Martin and another man, Michael Thomas Conway. The dispute escalated, and Conway shot Martin in the lower leg. Though wounded, Martin managed to flee the initial confrontation.
