On February 7, 2021, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Montgomery Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of Eastern Boulevard. Upon arrival, they discovered 24-year-old Pervis L. Martin, Jr., who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested 29-year-old Michael Conway in connection with the shooting. Conway was charged with murder for the death of Pervis Martin.
