On July 18, 2024, at approximately 12:45 a.m., Montgomery police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of West South Boulevard, near the Interstate 65 interchange. Upon arrival, officers discovered 21-year-old Hector Bamaca Yoc, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations revealed that two suspects attempted to rob Yoc before fatally shooting him. Photographs of the suspects were released to the public in an effort to identify them. ...Read More
