Chavez Hamilton, a 22-year-old African American male from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on the afternoon of February 8, 2017. At approximately 4:45 p.m., Hamilton and two other adult males were walking along the 1100 block of Adams Avenue when occupants of a passing vehicle opened fire on them.
