On January 9, 2024, 86-year-old William Wesley Strane was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around 2:00 p.m. in the 2700 block of Locust Street, just off Ann Street. Upon arrival, officers and fire medics found Strane deceased from a gunshot wound.
