On August 8, 2022, 33-year-old Natalio Lopez Garcia was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around noon in the 300 block of Chase Street, where Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation, Montgomery police arrested 21-year-old Zernell Mills on October 3, 2022, charging him with murder in connection to Garcia's death. Mills was taken into custody and placed in the Montgomery County Detention Facility without bond.
