In the early hours of Mother's Day, a sense of tragedy unfolded in Montgomery, Alabama, that would ultimately claim the life of 34-year-old Jeffrey Williams. On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 1:14 a.m., police and medics were dispatched to the 1100 block of Oak Street following a report of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Williams suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported Williams to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries days later. His death officially marked another homicide for the city of Montgomery, prompting an investigation by the Montgomery Police Department.
