In the early morning hours of April 18, 2022, tragedy struck in Montgomery, Alabama, when 38-year-old Charles Griggs, a Black male, was found with fatal gunshot wounds. The incident unfolded in the 800 block of Westview Drive, where Montgomery police and fire medics responded to a call shortly before 9 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Griggs, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
