In the summer of 2021, the life of 29-year-old JQuion Robinson, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. On the evening of July 20th, police and fire medics responded to a call on Winderton Drive. Upon their arrival, they discovered Robinson with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, marking the city's 37th homicide of the year.
The initial investigation into the shooting was launched by the Montgomery Police Department, who began the search for those responsible for Robinson's death.
The day after the shooting, a significant development occurred in the case. The Montgomery Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting on Winderton Drive. The individual taken into custody was identified as Carlos Heard. Heard was charged with one count of murder in the death of JQuion Robinson. Following his arrest, he was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
