On the night of May 27, 2015, 17-year-old African American male Roy Dontel Davis Jr. was fatally shot in the head in the 1400 block of South Ann Street in Mobile, Alabama. Mobile Police officers responded to a report of a single gunshot at approximately 10:50 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the teenager suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
