On the evening of April 29, 2021, a burst of violence on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, Alabama, claimed the life of 50-year-old Michael Cannon, a Black/African American male. The incident unfolded as a shooting, leaving Cannon with fatal injuries. He was a certified welder who had moved to Mobile from his native Mississippi, where he was born on June 29, 1970.
