On December 15, 2018, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at the South of Dauphin Apartments, located at 3105 Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old African American male Mandrell Henley deceased in a bedroom, having suffered apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
