On May 5, 2021, 14-year-old Daylen D. McBride was tragically shot and killed in Prichard, Alabama. A student at Vigor High School, Daylen was found with multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of West Main Street and Thomas Avenue, close to True Light Baptist Church. His family reported that he had left home around 9 a.m. that morning, and a 911 call was made approximately an hour later reporting a teenager lying on the ground.
