On August 17, 2023, at approximately 6 a.m., Prichard Police responded to reports of a shooting in the Alabama Village area. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of 22-year-old Ji’Taveis Demar Thomas, a father of two from Mobile, Alabama. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, and authorities have not identified any suspects.
