On March 18, 2022, at approximately 1:36 p.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Cottage Hill and Azalea Roads in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered two male victims in a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims, identified as 19-year-old Cameron Montgomery and 16-year-old Ja'Kobi Freeman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
