Ricky Tipton Thompson, a 45-year-old man from Knoxville, TN, tragically lost his life on September 4, 2006. Thompson was caught in the crossfire during a shooting incident in Vestal, off Maple and Eddington streets. The incident occurred when Ray Edward Loveday, 21, fired 27 rounds at Matthew Moore, who managed to escape unharmed. Unfortunately, Thompson and another man were struck by the rounds, leading to Thompson's death.
