On March 23, 2016, 23-year-old Alshera "Shay" Chew, a senior at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, was tragically killed alongside her 39-year-old boyfriend, Paul Middleton. The incident occurred at Middleton's residence on Jerry Coleman Street, just off the college campus.
