Darnell Cornelius Cain, a 37-year-old male, passed away at his Baltimore, Maryland home on Monday, February 19, 2007. Born in Cambridge on September 8, 1969, he was the son of Jacqueline and Early Cain Sr. and spent his formative years in Petersburg, where he attended public schools in Dorchester County. During his youth, he was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop Chester Friend.
At the time of his passing, Mr. Cain was employed in the construction industry in Baltimore. In 2002, he married Linda Cain of Bridgeville, Delaware. He was a father to one son, Devon Cain of Annapolis. He is also survived by his two brothers, Early Jr. and Andre Cain, both of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a sister, Depina Cain of Cordova. The details surrounding his death were not accompanied by information regarding any arrests or suspects.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 2, 2007, at Faith Community UM Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Whitney officiating. A viewing was held for one hour prior to the service. Following the funeral, he was laid to rest in the church cemetery. He was survived by a large extended family, including several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
