In the late hours of a Tuesday night in April 2016, a young man named Taji Anthony, aged 25, found himself in a desperate situation in Baltimore, Maryland. Suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his neck and upper body, he managed to make his way to a local hospital, stumbling in seeking medical attention around 11:30 p.m. Despite the efforts of the hospital staff, who promptly alerted the Baltimore Police, Anthony succumbed to his severe injuries and did not survive.
