On July 8, 2023, at approximately 2:56 a.m., Baltimore police responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 900 block of Greenmount Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered three male victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the 500 block of East Eager Street. Among them was 21-year-old Albertini Amoroso Elcock, who, along with 29-year-old Shurlon Cooper, succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving efforts. A 20-year-old male victim survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
