On February 23, 2025, 23-year-old African American male Diontavis Wallace Whitfield was fatally shot in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Potee Street in the city's Brooklyn neighborhood. Baltimore Police officers, who were patrolling the area, responded promptly after hearing gunfire.
