In the fading daylight of Memorial Day, a sense of loss descended upon Fairfield, Alabama. Tatyanna Sherese Hannah, a 17-year-old female, was riding as a passenger in a vehicle when gunfire erupted at the intersection of Overlook Place and Hillside Drive. Struck by the hail of bullets, she was rushed to UAB Hospital, but her young life could not be saved. The incident, which occurred on May 29, 2023, left a community reeling and a family shattered.
