In the late spring of 2016, the life of 19-year-old Dominique Hereford was tragically cut short in a shooting that occurred in Huntsville, Alabama. On Saturday, May 28, 2016, Hereford was found on the ground in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Patton Road SW. He was transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim was a resident of Huntsville at the time of his passing.
Following the incident, the Huntsville Police Department swiftly identified a suspect in the fatal shooting. Twenty-five-year-old Cornelius Deshawn Frazier was named as the individual sought in connection with Hereford's death. Authorities released a description of Frazier, noting he was 5'10' tall and weighed between 150 and 160 pounds, and cautioned that he might be armed.
A few days later, on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, Cornelius Deshawn Frazier turned himself in to the authorities. He surrendered to Huntsville police officers at an attorney's office and was taken into custody without incident. Investigators stated that Frazier was responsible for the shooting death of Dominique Hereford.
