On March 26, 2019, 41-year-old James Edwin Jones was fatally shot at a gas station in Huntsville, Alabama. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the Fuel City gas station on Highway 72. Following the shooting, Jones's wife attempted to drive him to the hospital; however, she crashed their vehicle at the intersection of Highway 72 and Mastin Lake Road. Jones was subsequently transported to Huntsville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:20 p.m.
