On September 23, 2016, 26-year-old Darryl Dewayne Grace was fatally wounded during a gunfight at a Chevron station on Lloyd Noland Parkway in Fairfield, Alabama. The incident also resulted in the death of 21-year-old Mandel Hardy Lawson Jr., who was killed in the same shootout. Authorities have stated that no other suspects are being sought in connection with this case.
