On October 8, 2016, 25-year-old Marvin Smith of Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot at his apartment on the 400 block of 3rd Street West. After the incident, Smith was transported to Princeton Baptist Medical Center by his friend, Reginald Kennedy. Upon arrival, Smith succumbed to his injuries.
