On June 1, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., 31-year-old Brandon Deandre Wilson was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. Officers from the South Precinct responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 500 block of 41st Street North and discovered Wilson lying at the intersection of 41st Street and 5th Court North, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
