On August 19, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at 526 Beacon Crest Circle, located within the Valora at Homewood Apartments in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Justin Devon Wade, a resident of Irondale, lying in a breezeway outside an apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel transported Wade to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
