In the fading daylight of a September evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 23-year-old George Arthur Crenshaw Jr. was tragically cut short. On September 15, 2016, Crenshaw was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the eastern part of the city. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the young man succumbed to his injuries, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss.
