In the Woodlawn neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, a bright autumn day was shattered by an act of violence that claimed two lives. On Thursday, November 16, 2017, 17-year-old Pervis Polke, a male, was fatally shot in a brazen daylight attack. The incident also resulted in the death of a second individual, 51-year-old Jocklyn Manley.
