Authorities said today they have identified a man found dead in a burning vehicle earlier this year.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Titus Johnson. Deputy Coroner Phillip Russell said Johnson's identity was confirmed through DNA analysis and comparison.
Johnson was found dead inside a burning vehicle in early May in the 5700 block of Avenue N. A resident who lives nearby spotted the flames and alerted authorities about 2:30 a.m.
