In the Gate City area of Birmingham, Alabama, on a Tuesday, the 31st of January in 2017, the life of Andreas Kashif Brown, a 33-year-old Black or African American man, was tragically cut short. He found himself in the midst of a shootout on the 7500 block of 64th Court South, an innocent bystander caught in a conflict that was not his own.
