On January 31, 2017, 33-year-old Andreas Kashif Brown, a resident of Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically killed by a stray bullet during a shootout in the Gate City area. Brown was found on the 7500 block of 64th Court South, having been struck in the head. Authorities reported that he did not know the shooters and was an unintended victim caught in the crossfire.
