In the Ensley community of Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Tre’Von Nyheim Douglas was tragically cut short on February 15, 2025. A young man on the cusp of fatherhood, he was looking forward to the birth of his first child, a son to be named after him. His family’s excitement for the new arrival turned to anguish when Douglas was found shot to death in the backyard of a vacant house on the 1400 block of 33rd Street.
