Tre’Von Nyheim Douglas, a 21-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting on February 15, 2025, in Birmingham’s Ensley community. The incident occurred just before 4:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 33rd Street. Neighbors reported hearing a loud bang and discovered Douglas lying on the ground in the backyard of a house. Emergency responders from Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead at 4:46 p.m.
