In the Enon Ridge neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, on the afternoon of November 4, 2024, the life of 20-year-old Amauria Caffey was tragically cut short. The young man was on the front porch of his grandfather's home in the 1600 block of Fifth Street North when a heated argument escalated into a hail of gunfire around 12:12 p.m. More than 20 shots were reportedly fired, shattering the midday peace and sending terrified neighbors scrambling for cover.
