On May 24, 2017, 21-year-old Jessica Newcomb was found fatally shot at the Budgetel Inns & Suites on West I-65 Service Road in Mobile, Alabama. Responding to a 9:47 a.m. call, police discovered Newcomb lying on the floor of a hotel room with a fatal gunshot wound.
