On February 4, 2022, at approximately 10:39 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to Springhill Medical Center after a 19-year-old male arrived with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigations revealed that the incident occurred at Park West Apartments, located at 1701 Hillcrest Road. Upon arrival at the apartment complex, officers discovered 21-year-old Deion L. Dembert lying deceased near a vehicle in the parking lot, having suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
