On Sunday, June 8, 2025, Traci Lavern McDuffie, age 52, a Black woman from Mobile, Alabama, was found dead inside a home on the 1200 block of Ross Street after police were called at approximately 5:39 p.m. Officers discovered two people deceased in the residence, and identified the victims as Traci Lavern McDuffie, age 52, and her 25-year-old son, Brandon McDuffie. Public memorial notices later confirmed that Traci Lavern McDuffie, age 52, died on June 8, 2025, in Mobile.
