In the fall of 1975, a 28-year-old mother of two named Patricia Hitt was working at a convenience store in Mobile County, Alabama. On November 21st, her life was violently cut short when a man attacked her, beating her before fatally shooting her in the head. The initial investigation into her death led to the arrest of two other men, but the true perpetrator remained at large, casting a shadow of fear over the community.
