On June 25, 2017, 22-year-old La’terica Denise McMillian was fatally shot in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred early that morning when McMillian entered a car parked in front of her residence on St. Madar Street. As a friend drove, shots were fired at the vehicle, striking McMillian. She was transported by private vehicle to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
