On a Sunday evening in Mobile, Alabama, the life of Vanessa Christina Thompson, a 29-year-old mother of six, was tragically cut short. On October 7, 2018, police responded to a call of a person shot on the 300 block of Michigan Avenue. There they found Vanessa suffering from a gunshot wound. She was quickly transported to a local hospital, but her injuries proved to be fatal, and she died later that night.
