Toney Felix Myers Jr., a 39-year-old man from Birmingham, Alabama, was fatally shot on September 20, 2017, in what authorities quickly determined to be a homicide. Myers was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence in the southern part of the city. Responding officers found him in critical condition, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
