On September 30, 2017, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Huntsville Police responded to a reported traffic accident near the intersection of Adventist Boulevard and Wynn Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 34-year-old George Carl Jarrett, the driver of the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, Jarrett was pronounced dead at the scene.
