Officer Frank McKissack, a 31-year-old member of the Huntsville Police Department in Alabama, lost his life in the line of duty on May 26, 1916. He was fatally shot while attempting to stop two boys who were trying to hop on an outbound train near the Huntsville Depot at around 2:20 a.m.
