In the fall of 2017, the life of 43-year-old Calvin Sweeney was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of October 14th, Sweeney was at a convenience store in the Tarrant area when a vehicle pulled up and unleashed a fatal drive-by shooting. The sudden violence of the act left the community in shock and a family grappling with a devastating loss.
