On January 9, 2018, 32-year-old Michael Stone, a resident of California, was found shot to death in Selma, Alabama. The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on the 2500 block of Summerfield Road. Stone had been shot multiple times with a handgun, sustaining four to five gunshot wounds. This tragic event marked Selma's first homicide of 2018.
