On April 22, 2018, 24-year-old Darien Deon "Dee" Haslip was found deceased in his Birmingham, Alabama, residence, having suffered a gunshot wound. Officers from the North Precinct responded to the scene at approximately 6:33 p.m., where a friend had discovered Haslip's body and alerted authorities.
