On a Sunday evening in Birmingham, Alabama, the life of 59-year-old Melvin Earl Nelson was tragically cut short. On September 20, 2020, in the quiet residential area of the 300 block of 74th Street North in the eastern part of the city, police responded to a call of a person shot. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Nelson, a male, suffering from gunshot wounds.
